Office 2013 install on Windows8 error message after install, crash & running automatic online fix "we couldn't install your office product because you don't have a modern operating system" do I need a flux capacitor to go back to the future & get win10 :banana Googling it : alot of people are having the same issue: I have yet to find a definite fix, just the ususual generic things to try Cheers (win8 eh, gotta love it) |

After running the automatic online fix, winupdates & restarting, office was completely gone on restart, just the leftover empty Office folder in program files. So I ran MS's Office remover tool, re-install, word & excel run, Outlook crashes on start, the auto online fix comes up with that same error "we couldn't install your office product because you don't have a modern operating system" If googled, I see many users with that same error, but no definite,working fix. |

| 1337169 | 2013-04-16 00:59:00 | Something to try: first completely uninstall it, using something like Revo Unistaller, then : 1. Right click on the new Office setup file then click on the ‘Properties’ option. 2. Click on the compatibility tab. 3. Uncheck ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ checkbox and uncheck ‘Run this program as an administrator’ check box and click Ok. If its not ticked in compatibility mode then tick it ( opposite to above quoted) |
