| 1337032 | 2013-04-15 07:39:00 | Does anyone know if YouTube limits upload of file size by actual size of file or just the duration of it ? I googled it and it seems that there is 15 min length limit instead of size limit. Although some forums say its 100MB but the posts are few years old. I just created a Video from GoPro Camera and edited and rendered it in Sony Vegas. It ended up rendeing as a WMV file and the size is 600MB. Havent tried uploading yet as i have to sign up to youtube and now i have to add some more music to it hence asking here while waiting to finish another final rendered file Finally it looks like my Phenom X4 II has aged and it is taking forever to render it to a WMV - 6Mbps HD 720 x 30p Video Also what is the best format to create/render the video file in for best quality ? I was going to format in MP4 but for some reason couldnt see that in Sony Vegas and just did it in WMV. I am sure it maybe in there but i am short on time on posting this video so just did it real quick |

| 1337036 | 2013-04-15 11:02:00 | depending on your account status, you can upload videos longer than 15 minutes | GameJunkie (72) | ||
| 1337037 | 2013-04-16 09:04:00 | H.264 with MP3 audio is best for youtube, anything else can give you some realnasty results. Also it takes me rouchly 300 minuts to upload 30min files in 720p so unless you do it over night 1080p will be troublesome. | Slankydudl (16687) | ||
| 1337038 | 2013-04-19 03:07:00 | Definitely H.264 with Mp3 or AAC. If done right, the output will be very similar to the original file size, with no noticeable difference in quality. What version of Vegas are you running? The latest version has some preset render templates, one of which is basically 1080p designed for YouTube. It's exactly what you'd be after. 4946 |
