Purchasing something online and having it sent as a gift does not qualify as a gift for customs purposes - only items sent directly from one private individual to another are considered gifts. Edit: Making a false declaration is also illegal, as is tax-avoidance. Just be honest, declare the item accurately, and pay any taxes / duty that may be applicable. |
