1311426 2012-11-10 00:33:00 I am the person for whom the responsibility for making this forum welcoming to all lies, and I take that very seriously.

Meaning 1) I think most people contributing to this forum would not appreciate their posts being classified as "lies."

Meaning 2) As a professional, one would hope you would be able to differentiate between "lies" and "lays." That you evidently don't, does even less for your case.

No, responsibility lies with me. Responsibility does not lay with me. But you're welcome to lay the responsibility at my door. :)

And Metla, just consider me one of the new nutjobs to interact with around here. :-P

Zara - I stand corrected. What threw me was the clumsy construction of the sentence which threw the emphasis on a different meaning of lie. I should've checked lies vs lays out first! Apologies.

Them's the breaks. It's my job, you know, but I prefer to leave that to Chill and Jen. I mostly ban spammers. And try to drop friendly notes where I think threads are about to veer into nastiness.

1311433 2012-11-10 01:20:00 Honeymooning with Zara. ...from a previous thread about Metla

Has anyone else noticed that Zara and Metla came online to the forum almost simultaneously??;) (I may have stretched the evidence a smidgen - but, what the hell in the interests of a good story)

1311434 2012-11-10 01:41:00 I thought this was a thread on climate .

 Well so did I, but someone saw fit to lump the quite separate post of an editorial from our local paper in with it .

You'll note where it has been moved from .

Then the Prefect has had trouble with his transverse springs when he found they were homosexual .

Metla/Zara are pillow talking and confusion reins . :D

1311435 2012-11-10 01:45:00 Global warming now climate change is all about money.

Al Gore must be sitting on quite a nest egg, since there has not been much news of him lately.

The friction on this chatroom must cause a lot of body heat !.

Lurking.
