| 1311029 | 2012-11-08 00:24:00 | Can we get touch screen monitors and is that the way things will go? yep, you sure can. . Viewsonic have this one currently: This One (www.viewsonic.com.au) According to my suppliers they will be available December/January. Price wish, roughly ( give or take) $435.00 As for "way to go' I can see lots of medical problems arising - you can try it right now. On your current screen, move close and hold out your arms, pretend its a touch screen - see how long you can hold out your arms and move your hands about before you start to feeling uncomfortable / arms getting sore at shoulder level. Move over RSI ;) |

| 1311034 | 2012-11-08 04:28:00 | A touchscreen for desktop use is just idiotic, as pointed out your arms will fall off, not to mention you will rub grease all over the screen. | Agent_24 (57) | ||
| 1311035 | 2012-11-08 04:42:00 | Touch screen is for Tablet use Would rather stick my finger in my ear rather than stretch and finger my monitor with a desktop Windows 8 is quite configurable with a third party start menu for desktop use |

| 1311036 | 2012-11-08 04:47:00 | Is email app the same? One can only ass u me it is, mind you you know what Assume means eh ;) The problem with the W8 Mail App is its really designed for online, it works nicely with outlook.com. Its not really designed to work with pop3 mail, I did find These instructions on how (blog.laptopmag.com), while they worked on getting one of my pop3 accounts to display in Outlook.com Via a Browser, the App didn't want to know about it, even though outlook.com was its main mail. So I guess third party or MS mail programs ( outlook or Live mail) are the options at the moment. Just a update re the Touch Displays -- Another Supplier said the Viewsonic should be in next week. Time will tell. ;) |
