Except the PT was crap right from the start, at least Ford are only going to sell the body so that a proper car can be put underneath

1311470 2012-11-10 20:38:00 Wonder how many hoops you will have to get thru to get one on the road here?? At least it won't be as bad a AU where the ADR makes it almost imposable to do this sort of thing.. paulw (1826)
1311471 2012-11-10 21:12:00 Yes sir, here's my pride and joy, until the local Policeman made me sell it. :groan:

Note the TWO 12' aerials and white-walls. ;) The radio could pick up 2UE Sydney in the evenings and flatten the battery in about 10 minutes in the process.

 Well sort of. My health would certainly have taken a turn for the worse had he been able to catch me in his Vauxhall. :D

You see he was of Irish extraction and well before the advent of computers he was punching the information in, if you get my drift. ;)

1311474 2012-11-10 23:54:00 Are they the original number plates? I recall way back in the 1950s that number plates were all numeric, no letters. There was a lot less cars on the road in them days. Bobh (5192)
1311475 2012-11-11 00:11:00 Can't wait till I can save up a few grand to rescue to genuine pre 1970's engineering and put it on the road. Sadly, this won't be happing for a while. The good thing is the current owners are getting old and selling off/kids dont care and selling off. The sad thing is that all the skill, tips n' tricks as well as a lot of history goes when they olds move on which is sad. One of the best things about having the morris around at keale is some old bloke (or even a younger couple) having a solid hour yarn about driving their morris or learning to drive in one.

No one ever comes up to you yota rolla and rambles on about their first beat up white Corolla :P

As far as I know the plates were original, but I must confess I never took the interest in them that the constabulary did. ;)
