2012-11-09 08:14:00 | ALL new Windows installs are faster than ALL old ones. A bit of work seems to hamstring the windoze gnomes .However it is frisky sort of an OS as long as no work is involved (a bit like apprentices I guess). ;) | R2x1 (4628) | |
2012-11-09 09:24:00 | No. Haven't seen any need for it yet. Maybe wait for Windows 9. | coldot (6847) | |

2012-11-09 09:25:00 | Hey mods, could you please add in a extra answer for the poll? Call it "maybe". :thanks: :D Can you also add the line "Not bloody likely". I'll personally be avoiding Win8, as I appreciate being able to actually get stuff done without bleeding the day away finding where another routine function or menu has been hidden and re-dressed as something different to amuse the simple folk. Change for the sake of change alone (or simply to get folk to p' away cash for an 'upgrade' is just plain dumb. Shove Win 8!

2012-11-09 09:56:00 | I installed it on my laptop no problem and Windows 8 is working well on it. I attempted to install it on my desktop. The install went well until it was almost finished. The computer informed me that it did not want Windows 8 on it and undid the install then reinstalled Windows 7. Windows 7 is working better than ever now on my desktop.

2012-11-09 19:40:00 | ... ... The computer informed me that it did not want Windows 8 on it ... Good decision! Win 8 is an erratic piece of OS ... sometimes, it needs driver for a DVD optical driver, sometimes its needs driver for a simple keyboard, sometimes it needs driver a simple mouse, etc., etc. What a load of rubbish!
