| 141617 | 2003-05-05 11:55:00 | Hi, Any clues how to completely remove a trial version of a program? I used it briefly a while back and it expired. Now need it for a small project so I uninstalled and reinstalled. It's still expired. The screen shows 3 links - Try (greyed out), Buy (dead link) and Exit. |

| 141618 | 2003-05-05 12:01:00 | it depends on what leftovers it left behind. find every file it installed and delete them, delete all the reg entries for the program (regcleaner/jv16 power tools is handy for this). however some programs hook into a sister program that you may have so to reuse the trail program you will need to remove the trail program and its sister program :( | tweak'e (174) | ||

| 141621 | 2003-05-05 20:47:00 | Hi Heather, Not sure if this is any help to you but I once wanted to reinstall a trial after removing the first one & I was able to download it & then was told that I had already used it & it showed up as being expired. It made me wonder if it had put tags or something on me & knew that I had had it before. Pauline. |

Caught in a great situation - need an older version of a horrendously expensive program (for compatibility with Tech) for a few weeks only. Choices: install a copy briefly here or do a 40km round trip a few times to the place of Higher Learning to get up to speed with it. |
