141541 2003-05-05 08:58:00 Hi all,
I am looking for a small app that can be used to "highlight" text or an image, freehand as per the link below!

eg:If one was to download a map from a web-site,then draw a circle
around an object with an arrow pointing to it,as the sample link shows!

Check sample,Here, (sal.neoburn.net)

Cheers,Kiwitas,;-)

141543 2003-05-05 09:57:00 Paint Shop Pro does it for me. It's just a question on putting text on graphics or even graphics on graphics in layers.

Photoshop also uses layers but costs more.

141544 2003-05-05 10:50:00 Thanks folks,

I had tried with MS Paint and although it works OK,I thought there
may be a smaller app I could use?

Thanks again,
Cheers,Kiwitas,;-)

141545 2003-05-05 10:51:00 Unless you feel like spending money, as Susan says just use paintbrush. Its clunky, but it works.

IMHO Paint Shop Pro is the best all round graphics application in terms of cost vs benefit, and if you really want to get advanced go with Photoshop. Although, I find there is still features that PSP has that Photoshop doesnt so its a matter of preferences really.
