| 141537 | 2003-05-05 07:10:00 | Hi all I am planning to upgrade my S3 Prosavage card for a WinFast A170T - GeForce4 MX 440 SE - 64Mb DDR card. I cant decide between a 64 bit and a 128 bit. My system has a AMD Duron(tm) processor with 256 of RAM. For the extra $30 I would get the 128bit, but will I notice the difference, when playing things like Flight Sim 2002. Your comments would be welcome. Craigb. |

Will this be an issue with XP OS or > not. dont worry that only means u wont be able to play some of the newer games that require DX8.1 Here is something else to consider, why not get a ATI Radeon 9000Pro or 9100Pro. these cards are both DX8.1 compatiable offer better preformance. Try to find one with 128mb DDR, most come with DVI so if you get adventerous you could hook up another monitor when playin your flightsims. check out toms hardware they have a graph/article that compares all the GFX cards currently on the market in NZ, showing there preformance in various situations, worth a read http://www.tomshardware.com otherwise jump over to google do a search for a card of your choice read some reviews. then check out pricespy for the latest in prices. But remember to get the Pro version if you buy a ATI card. |
