| 142080 | 2003-05-07 07:51:00 | How do you go to the desktop in xp if there are a number of applications running, without closing them or minimising them one by one? In win 98 I could show the desktop directly, but forget now if that was something I jacked up or whether it was a built-in feature. |

If it's not there, right click the taskbar, click properties and enable quicklaunch, it should show up in there... Many new mice have programmable buttons you can program to do it... and there may be a keyboard shortcut for it... |

| 142088 | 2003-05-07 09:08:00 | Agent: You are absolutely right about that, in Win XP you can use Win key + D (for desktop) or you can use Win key + M (for minimise) . I am so used to using the latter because that works on the old Win 95 PC at work, but the former does not . Incidentally, to restore all your minimised windows you can use Win key + Shift + M for either of the above minimising keyboard shortcuts, or you can use Win key + D once again if you used that to minimise the windows . "Hmmm, I guess I could have only charged $12 . 50 this time since I only told half the story . ":D |
