141996 2003-05-07 04:28:00 I need a driver for a Dick Smith network card. They don't have it in their databases anymore! The chip is a RTL 8139C, but the Dick Smith code for the card is XH 7900. I have downloaded numerous drivers from Realtek sites and these do not work. It is for a Win98SE machine. jerry_23 (3745)

Search in there... heaps of drivers for that chipset... although the generic ones should work...

What aspect of it doesn't work once the drivers are installed?

141998 2003-05-07 05:11:00 ok, I have downloaded RTL 8139(A/B/C/D/8130)/810X series driver from driverguide.com ,but still there is an exclamation mark by the network adapter in device manager. The device status properties of that device says "The NDIS.VXD, NTKERN.VXD device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver. (code 2)" jerry_23 (3745)

142000 2003-05-07 07:33:00 Hi Jerry

Just wondering, why don't use the drivers that they provided you on the package, i thought they have one inside the package?

Think he might have had it for a while and lost the driver, or acquired it second hand. It isn't on DSE's books anymore.
