| 141928 | 2003-05-06 14:56:00 | Hello all I'm looking to network my old P111-550 to my new P4 2G - both have XP and networkcards (my new one currently used for Saturn modem). Is this a simple project? Is there any advantages beyond data transfer and only one internet connection? Cheers Baz |

Therefore you would need to purchase a switch / hub to connect all 3 devices together unless the modem has a built in 4-port hub as some do. |

Yes, there are many advantages, and its well worth it if you have two PC's - Even if its just for sharing the Internet.. or the occasional LAN game (Even playing the old Duke Nukem 3D is worthwhile.. Its what I started with :p)! Check out the PF1 FAQ on Networking if you get stuck, IMO - Go for it! |
