141895 2003-05-06 12:02:00 Hi
I have a PIII 450 & 550 cpu (Slot 1), both from dead m/b - anyone know the value of these. I'll either sell them or try & get m/b for them. Thanks for any feedback.

141896 2003-05-06 12:04:00 Seeing as Pentium 4 2Ghz at $200 odd no a days you might get $20 for them if you are lucky. Big John (551)
141897 2003-05-06 12:42:00 Have a look on http://www.trademe.co.nz/ . It should give you an idea of what people are willing to pay. bmason (508)
141898 2003-05-07 05:04:00 to bmason - thanks for the link, has given me a good idea of pricing, will look at t & e as well. thanks also big john for your help - please don't take offense, but by looking at the offerings at trademe - you are way off mark - my cpus could be worth $90 or more. even old PIIs are more than $20. but hey that's how we learn. thanx. xtraka (1984)

141904 2003-05-07 09:55:00 sorry Susan B
I'm in Auckland & I have thrown the mobo out - too much junk. during the local inorganic rubbish collection i threw out over 7 systems all dead.
i can't see how you can have much fun with a dead mobo - it's more fun with a live 486 mobo (joke).
