| 141786 | 2003-05-06 08:02:00 | In IE6 the default directory for saving attachments from E-mail received has changed from my "Temp" directory to "My Documents". How do I change it back? | BMCW (3738) | ||
| 141787 | 2003-05-06 08:56:00 | In OE go to Tools > Options > Maintenance > Store Folder > Change and browse to My Documents. Click OK all the way out. Note: you may wish to create an Outlook Express folder in My Documents first just in case because I have not tested to see whether the OE folder is moved or not. If it is not needed you can delete it later. |

| 141788 | 2003-05-06 09:35:00 | The folder you mentioned is where the E-mail messages are stored, and is not what I wanted to change. After pressing the attachment clip on a mail message the window opens with the attached messages listed and asks if you want to save them. How do I change the default save address to a NEW DEFAULT address |

I do not know how you can change the default folder for attachments but whenever I save mine (OE 6) it remembers the last place I saved at. There is probably a registry tweak somewhere to make your choice of folder the default - hopefully someone else will know. |
