| 141783 | 2003-05-06 06:35:00 | I have come accross an error I have not seen before. When installing a (cough) backup copy (cough) programme onto the laptop, an error described as "cyclic redundancy check" came up. I have tried rebooting and reinstalling but no joy. Is this a terminal error or is there a way to turn cyclic redundancy check(s) off...? Other CD's work fine. Running XP Home on 1.1 ghz processor (laptop). Any answers gratefully recieved. Si |
