141913 2003-05-06 23:52:00 firstly it depends on what video file it is as you need different tools for different movies (eg mov,rm,avi, mpeg)

virtualdub is good for avi/mpeg tho if you have ogm or any vbr sound in the avi you may want to use virtualdubmod. both are advailable at http://sourceforge.net/ .

there are heaps of splitter/joiners around. look here (www.divx-digest.com)

Where is the function where i can tell it to copy a certain amount of video on a cd?
The formats are avi,dat,mpeg!

141915 2003-05-08 03:37:00 easiest way to copy a section of it is to load file, drag the bar along the preveiw screen to the start of the bit you want, click the left mark button (the buttons on the right hand side of the bar) then drag the bar to the end of the part u want, click the right hand mark button. select "direct stream copy" in menu for both video and sound(assuming you want both). select "save as avi" and follow your nose :) tweak'e (174)
