2003-05-08 13:09:00 | My nVidia 256 video card produces streaks through the screen. It is hard to explain, but it is like when you have a dark area, it will continue (not a in like the dark area, but it will be darker than usual). I am running XP Pro. I have tried a different monitor without any luck. How could I fix this? Thankx, James

2003-05-08 13:22:00 | I can only think of these things: The monitor cable is not connected to the Graphics card correctly The Graphics card is not inserted intot he mobo correctly Your drivers need updating. There's bound to be others though that I couldnt think of at this time of night ;-) Hope this helps Cheers Chilling_Silence

2003-05-08 13:37:00 | Get the very latest detonator drivers, and have a fiddle round with some of the colour settings (in display panel). They included some nice tools for changing colour, brightness, contrast, hue etc etc. I used this to fix up my Dads old P200 just today. :)

2003-05-08 21:39:00 | I have seen this on the older 8 & 16MB nVidia cards and it turned out to be a faulty video card every time. Sorry but it looks like you'll need to get a replacement. :( | CYaBro (73) | |

2003-05-08 23:18:00 | does it do it just on startup before windows loads? if not then its proberly not hardware related. also check what refresh rate you have it set to. the monitor may not like to higher a refresh rate and your eyes won't like a to lower refresh rate.
