| 142476 | 2003-05-08 12:19:00 | hi there every one remember not long ago i uninstalled nortons? well i keep finding symantec files (empty) when i look for something else and they are popping up every where. can i delete these boxes that say they are empty? one did say it has 900KB in it so its not empty but will it be doing anything? id say most of nortons has gone, but these files are showing up in the start menu (right click etc) i just want them gone, but want to be safe when i do this so as not to corrupt my puter and yes i do have AVG running. so no probs there. thanxs beetle |

It may be hard to completely remove it because I think the programme always leaves something behind to prevent people from reinstalling the programme once their virus definitions expire, and then getting free updates again for a year. |

| 142478 | 2003-05-08 19:45:00 | There is a specific Nortons removal tool called Rnav.exe that can be used. Try reading here (service1.symantec.com) to see how to remove NAV manually. Good Luck Sam |
