| 142384 | 2003-05-08 06:21:00 | What memory chip does a Palm M100 use? and how much do you think i may be able to upgrade it to? It comes with 2mb | 404error (3327) | ||
| 142385 | 2003-05-08 07:58:00 | Unless you have highly specialised SMD (Surface Mount Device) IC soldering / desoldering equipment you would be unlikely to succeed without destroying the PDA. When this PDA was available, there were some third-party companies (not in NZ as far as I know) offerring upgrades as far as 12 MB. As this model is superceeded and prices have fallen they may not be around now, as the cost would be a major limitation. Probably it would involve a new ROM as well, as the old Palm OS may not support the increase as it was shipped? The M100 was actually the old Palm 3 series in a new case. Try your luck on Google, you might find someone doing it, but its unlikely to be a DIY job. |
