| 142433 | 2003-05-08 10:30:00 | Hi I wish to up-grade my Nvidia driver and they advise removing existing driver before installation. How do I do this with-out the monitor going haywire with-out a driver? |

| 142436 | 2003-05-08 13:58:00 | Firstly make sure you've downloaded the driver update .exe file to a convienient location (C:\ ). Just Add/Remove the old driver like they said, and reboot. (Usually if you uninstall the driver and reboot without any display drivers installed, you can still see fine to move the mouse around and click 1 or 2 things.) After reboot, click cancel to anything windows throws at you, and get to the desktop. Now find that new driver .exe file and run it. After that, reboot again and then change your settings to your preference in Display Properties in Control Panel. |
