| 142993 | 2003-05-11 22:00:00 | I just got an 875P board (Asus P4C800) from www.c-l.co.nz here in central Auckland along with an 800mhz P4 (2.4ghz) and DDR400 ram to go with it. The board is great with heaps of extras. This new chipset is probably the best Intel chipset released in a while and the benchmarks I am getting are very very fast. The board is as stable as (even with a 300mhz overclock which I got immediately with the stock intel cooling) and with all the extras (serial-ata, raids 0/1/2, gigabit ethernet, Firewire, USB2 etc) it covers all the major bases as far as upgradebility in the future. Having played with this chipset for the last couple of weeks I have come to the conclusion that this is one of Intels best chipsets since the BX and if you are a gamer this is the beast to have. The Dual DDR is phenomenally fast when running as dual. If I was reviewing this chipset I would be giving it 95%. |
