142946 2003-05-10 21:28:00 Hi,
I have downloaded Opera 7.10 but am having a few problems with it. I can log in here but can't post. I keep getting 'Submission Warnings' & 'Send form without encryption'. I disabled the 'Wand' thing so I could use Opera the same as I did with the 6.2 version that I am using to post this.
I think that I will like alot better once I have got it sorted.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Pauline.

142947 2003-05-10 21:51:00 Get Opera 7.11. Go to www.ntfs.org. click on its link and d/l it. (It's in the menu)

It's not on the Opera site yet. BUT does download from the Opera FTP site. There maybe a fix in Opera 7.11

142948 2003-05-11 01:51:00 i wouldn't download 7.11 as its a beta. full ver is due out this week after they fix a few things they broke with the beta.

also i don't think your problem will be fixed by 7.11 anyway as there are a fair few opera7 users here and none have reported this problem.

if you have used 6.XX then i suggest doing a clean install of opera including plugins (java, flash etc)

142950 2003-05-11 03:14:00 Press 1 is not an encrypted site.
You will get the "Send form without encryption" warning message as a result unless you deselect this message as below.
Under Preferences/Security untick the box "Ask before submitting a form insecurely"

says WHO ??

it looks like the 2nd 7.11 build is advailable.

At present 7.11 is released to the forum. NEVER assume its a final ver untill opera offically release it on their website. opera has often done last minute bug fixes before posting it offically.

As an official stable release it certainly is not. Like tweak'e says, it is only available from the forums for people to test and is clearly labelled as a beta. On Opera's Homepage (http://www.opera.com/) the "latest" version is most definitely 7.10.

It is rather unresponsible to send people off downloading beta versions of software without them knowing that it is such. You can cause a lot of grief to inexperienced computer users.
