143051 2003-05-13 10:33:00 How's your folder options? Show hidden files ticked, hide system files unticked? hide extension unticked?
I've had the problem with CDRW disks and XP not seeing whats on them, although in this case I guess it's not appropriate. :(

huh? I can "see" everything on the disk... when I run them, though, Windows (or the drive or something) thinks the file is "empty" - opening them in notepad brings up a blank page, eg. no text or anything in notepad... that's for EVERY file on both CDs.

143053 2003-05-13 10:48:00 Yeah, sorry. I know we are into desperation mode here. Have you tried seeing if there are any drivers for your CD writer? Are you using a different version/program for writing CD's.
I will have to go and ponder this.

This is nothing to do with a CD writer or writing CDs - this happens with the ORIGINAL disks.

143055 2003-05-13 10:57:00 Yeah I know, but the cd drives utilise the drivers to interface between the windows software and the drive. Normally windows has generic drivers which do 99% of the drives. Just an idea, as you seem to be running out of them. Pheonix (280)
