| 142654 | 2003-05-09 05:13:00 | ok ive been doing some surfing and came across trillian. what are the pros? and the pitfalls of this messenger service? the thing i like is it has a free option! does this program run as one and all other (yahoo, msn, icq etc) run through it? and are their other benefits of having this program? i read it does not have banners? is that for pro or free version? why do people use this program? any input would be good beetle |

| 142655 | 2003-05-09 05:21:00 | Trillian is one of the excellent programs for managing multiple Instant Messaging Applications - it can handle MSN, AOL, ICQ, IRC (I think ?:|), Yahoo and maybe another one. The benifits of this is that you just need to load all your details into Trillian and then it will manage all your identities at once :D There are problems with the service - some servers like MSN change their ports as to stop people using programs like Trillian, but aside from that it's not too bad - except for emoticons... The problems occur when you send a Trillian Emoticon and the other user has MSN, and MSN does not realise it - therefore MSN just displays the ASCII symbols instead. CyberChuck |

All of the above program runs in it, What I mean is that you can sign in two yahoo, msn, icq etc all at the same time. With one program not 4 programs. Hope this helps :) |
