143220 2003-05-12 01:11:00 Sorry I can't help you - BUT how do you know the temp?
Is it something you have to physically measure or can your OS do it?

what bios do you have (award/ami/pheniox etc).

>Computer Warms up Beeps go away

how do you mean? do you hit the reset swicth and it boots normally or does it boot first go but beeps while its booting up?

what motherboard?

143222 2003-05-12 01:39:00 Your BIOS will usually have a reading with the temps on it. Have a look around, otherwise a third party monitor such as MotherBoardMonitor 3.0 will do it.

As far as the beeping problem goes - what motherboard do you have, and what BIOS? Check in your motherboard manual, or at your motherboard manufacturers website.

143224 2003-05-12 02:33:00 at a guess your pc is a packardbell. (p4??)

i don't reconise those error beeps.

what did you do with the fan? replace it with what?

some systems will not run if the fan isn't going or going to slowly. poss a error beep due to to slow a fan?
tweak'e (174)
143225 2003-05-12 02:42:00 The replacement fan may not be a speed indicating one, and the beeps are motherboard level (probably not BIOS?) indicating that the fan is not being detected as operating.

My guess anyway.

143226 2003-05-12 02:48:00 I was wondering what the effect would be of:
Plugging a 3 pin (speed sense fan) plug in, backwards?
Plugging a 2 pin (non-sense :D fan) in?

godfather beat me to it .
