| 143429 | 2003-05-12 04:52:00 | Is there any setting I can change in Outlook Express so that if fancy emails come through it strips the colours/images etc? I use OE6 to receive my Hotmail, but am sick of people sending me 100k + Incredimails which push me up to my Hotmail limit. If I can get them converted to plain text then I can store the emails on my local machine and delete the original large email from my Hotmail account. Knowing my luck there is no way to do this. Cheers. |

| 143432 | 2003-05-12 05:58:00 | LOOK THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH COLORFUL HTML EMAILS it is the useless black text on white background HTML emails that gets up my nose, when they could send it off in plain text format at 2/5 the email size, |

Emails with colour and images are a pointless waste of space, not to mention that they look stoopid. |

| 143434 | 2003-05-13 00:14:00 | Did you know, I have never seen a magazine article on common courtesy on Email 1, Like Outlook Express sets up by default black text on white background HTML Email If you were to send yourself two emails, one plain text email, and the other identical but in HTML format, you will see the HTML email is two and a half times bigger than the plain text version . It would be good if a magazine went through step by step and told every one how to switch from HTML to plain text format . Such large emails are bound to choke ones hard drive space if saved, and choke internet traffic . 2, VERY LARGE ATTACHMENTS, Some people might not like been logged on to Internet all night getting just one email, because someone has sent them a large attachment about 10 Meg in file size on a slow connection, and getting something that is a load of rubbish anyway, I always ask someone if they would like a very big attachment . 3, The newest thing I learnt is before you forward any email like jokes on to other people remove any email addresses from the body of the Email, If someone further down the track is into spam mail, they have a heap of valid email addresses to pass onto the CDROM burn spamers . |
