143323 2003-05-12 01:50:00 I am having trouble getting the 'VIA USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller' to install with the drivers I am using. The driver is called VIAHyperion4in1446vp6. Even though it says afterwards to uninstall and reinstall that particular one again, I still can't get it to work. jerry_23 (3745)
143324 2003-05-12 03:02:00 What operating system are you using?
I think the drivers for USB2.0 are a seperate install program.

Have a look here (www.viaarena.com)

143325 2003-05-12 03:35:00 ok. I have XP Home...I know I know, theres my first problem. jerry_23 (3745)
143326 2003-05-12 03:45:00 Nothing wrong with XP Home.

As Via website states, you can't download a driver for USB2.0 for XP.
You need to use the driver that came with the mainboard or the USB2.0 card. Or, if you haven't already, install XP SP1 as this has USB2.0 support built in.

143327 2003-05-12 05:19:00 XP home is ok, but what i was really wanting before I bought the thing was XP Pro, but anyway, The stupid vendors I bought this thing from didn't include a mainboard disk so i'm in the process of getting it, but in the meantime, I'll give that XP SP1 a go. So that VIA hyperion driver I mentioned wouldn't even work either then? jerry_23 (3745)
143328 2003-05-12 05:29:00 It won't do the USB2.0 drivers but it does install drivers for other things on the mainboard. Drivers like AGP and IDE so install it. CYaBro (73)
