2003-05-11 22:46:00 I have just installed a DFI AD77 infinity MB, AMD Athlon XP 2200+ CPU, and 512mb of DDR Ram. Intitially the PC booted up, but it displayed the wrong processor so I adjusted the FSB jumpers, this fixed the problem. I then updated the BIOS with the latest AWDFlash update from the DFI site. When the computer went to reboot. it just stopped at the post screen, no beeps or anything, it just froze at the memory testing. I can get to the CMOS settings some of the time. I have tried re flashing the BIOS but the the PC won't run the floppy drive. Does anybody have any suggestions :-{ st0rm (3770)
2003-05-11 22:53:00 Have you tried clearing the CMOS settings with the jumper on the board or, if you can get into the BIOS, try loading the default settings or 'Fail-safe' settings. CYaBro (73)
2003-05-11 22:57:00 I did try clearing the CMOS using the Jumpers but that did not work.
cheers though

2003-05-11 23:05:00 Next thing then to try is unplug everything from the board expect RAM & video card (& PSU of cause :)). Test it. If still have problems try different RAM if possible or if you've got 2 sticks of RAM try one at a time. CYaBro (73)
