| 143664 | 2003-05-13 06:25:00 | Lately my computer has start freezing at random times , including during boot up and in safe mode. I started about a month ago and although I do install stuff from time to time I hadn't for well over a week when the problem started. It happens most frequently when the CPU is busy, such as playing games, but I'm not sure how relevant that is. I am up to date with WU and keep everything in good shape. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, I also tried using system restore to go back beyond the point when it started numerous times but the problem just follows me. |

| 143665 | 2003-05-13 07:06:00 | hi: it's not normal for xp to freeze, so the biggest reason might be u installed some software that does not co-operate well with xp. what games have u installed? even though it might not be the reason, but still tell me. also use norton anti-virus or system works to scan windows for errors and problems. or it might be the harddrive problem. how much ram have u got? too little ram is no good for xp, it requires at least 128, but u really should have 256 or more that's pretty much all i could thinks of. hope u find them useful bye |
