| 143560 | 2003-05-12 21:59:00 | 2 computers say A & B networked through an ethernet switch and connected to the internet with a Nokia M1122 router. Win 98SE. 2 printers one on A, one on B and usable over the network. Printer B ran out of ink so attempted to print over the network but couldn't. Uninstalled the network printer on B and then could not re install it as the "add printer" could not see the network. Uninstalled NIC protocol on B and re installed it and got the printer on A networked again. Now can't get the internet on B using IE or Netscape. Can't access the router from B in IE. Can ping the router from B. Network is working fine but get "The page cannot be displayed" while attempting to open a web page. Any Ideas? Where do I start? Thanks in advance David |

| 143562 | 2003-05-12 22:34:00 | Thanks Chill. I can ping 210.48.100.45. from B. I am accessing the internet through computer A so I assume the router is set up properly. It's the the connection between my browsers and the router on B that seems to be the problem. I have not changed any settings on IE, Netscape, Outlook, Outlook Express but that connection seems to have disappeared! David |

| 143564 | 2003-05-13 01:56:00 | Just another quick question, What's the Gateway set to on both of the PC's? | Chilling_Silently (228) | ||
| 143565 | 2003-05-16 21:54:00 | OK On B I've reinstalled Windows, deleted all my networking, reinstalled the network. The network works fine. But still cannot connect. Get a "Page cannot be displayed" if I enter a URL and "Internet explorer could not open the search page " if I enter 210.48.100.45. Can ping this address so in some way I'm connected. DNS in TCP/IP is the same on both computers. The gateway is set to 192.168.100.254 when looked at through winipcfg. Hair falling out Help! David |
