143518 2003-05-12 12:21:00 I have lost my Win98 Product Identification Number, which I need to use to re-install the operating system as it is corrupted. Any tips on how to find it inside the Win98 operating system. Is it listed inside the registry? chris x (2655)
143519 2003-05-12 12:29:00 If you can't find one, here is one (I never used it since I got ME): MXBTQ-KFWJP-VGGXP-GQXPM-VJVF6 and I will never use it because I have XP Pro now so B). JamesStewart (874)
143520 2003-05-12 15:43:00 If you can still go into the registry, the following is how you find it in 98:

Go Start | Run | type in "regedit" without the quotes | Ok | in Regedit go Edit | Find | type in "ProductKey" without the quotes | check Match Whole String Only | click Find Next.
