143496 2003-05-12 10:08:00 Have been using this software with a LG Burner for 3 years - then prior to burning it has decided to only buffer up to 75-95% - and indicates it had only written 31% - in any case - nothing gets written - and the CD Rom keeps going and won't shut down - I have to reboot to stop it.

Have uninstalled the software and reloaded several times - also searched for any files that may have been left in the system before reloading - but no change?

CD Rom works fine reading audio and data - but just won't write - have cleaned lens - device manager recognises CD Rom - ? - is there a chance something has gone wrong in the BIOS settings?

Any leads where to go from here would be appreciated

Thanks and regards, Simon

143498 2003-05-12 11:46:00 Hi Simon

hmmm, i think ur hard drive is a old one I think... in order to use this software, the buffer must be 100% to copy all the things u require on the CD....

1.so may i suggest, you might need to close down any software that running at the background (such as Norton, internet connection...) those consumed alot of speed and make your cd writer under run...

2. Alternative, depend on wot kind of computer, you might need to add some more RAM for your computer...

3. Or alternative, goto www.roxio.com and get a software update, it might help

can i please asked? wot kind of machine are you using? because i have 2 computers with me... one with AMD 300 160SD RAM with Windows 98 and Pentium 3 650 256SD Ram with Windows Me and using HP 8200e CD writer with this software Version 5. I have no problem with that....

Hope this help
