143422 2003-05-12 05:53:00 They are just text documents from a disc I received with a new digital camera I purchased. Also a help document. Thanks Ron norrol (2154)

143424 2003-05-12 06:47:00 Are you positive they are text files or maybe the program associated with the file maybe incorrect?

What's your camera? Are these files located on the CD? Maybe someone with the same camera/software can point you in the right location.

Other than that, go to your manufacturers website of your camera and download the documentation for it, if that's what you need.

143425 2003-05-12 07:47:00 i think the program you're trying to open them up in is probably too old? Craig (448)
143426 2003-05-12 21:29:00 I now find any read me files on my computer cant be read. On opening them all I see is squares
and all different shapes that I understand are the symbols used to form programs.Ron

143427 2003-05-12 22:09:00 Are you sure they're not just PDF files?

Get Adobe's Acrobat Reader 5 from the latest PCW Cover disc, or download it from http://www.adobe.com

Hmmm.. That would lead me to believe that you're opening a RTF document in Notepad which reads only ASCII text.

You could try opening it in MS Word or something else?
