| 144056 | 2003-05-14 09:29:00 | Where can I get something to replace the pads on the bottom of my mouse? 1 has worn away and is not so smooth ro move. | wotz (335) | ||

Enquire at model shops, sewing shops, or even specialist hardware stores for teflon or similar strips to attach to the bottom... you can get it fairly cheap but I have only bought mine off a friend in the states so am unsure where to get it in NZ. |

| 144061 | 2003-05-15 02:21:00 | "Cheap chopping boards" won't be made of PTFE (Teflon). PTFE is still pretty expensive. They will be good old polyethylene. They should be slippery, but it's still a bit hard to cut thin pieces which are flat enough to glue. The ice cream containers should give fairly uniform thin pieces. The other problem is that both polyethylene and polytetrafluoroethylene are hard to glue, anyway. Heard of "Non-Stick cookware" ? That's PTFE. :D |

I'm pretty sure it is EverGlide that make MouseSkatez which are just what you want. I've also heard of sheets of teflon being sold on trademe as well. |
