| 143930 | 2003-05-14 02:02:00 | I have 15 gb win98 pIII 128 ram,thinking of buying 40+ GB and thinking of putting XP on it!How do i connect the two?I want to transfer data on 15gb to XP.Are there any pitfalls involved,does it sound good? | br0nwyn (3755) | ||
| 143931 | 2003-05-14 02:07:00 | If you're wanting the 40gb Harddrive to be in the same computer as the 15gb then all you need to do is plug it in - both to the power supply and to the HDD IDE ribbon cable (find the other hard drive and the ribbon that's plugged in to it - there should be another plug somewhere along the ribbon that'll plug in to the other Hard drive). Once you've got the drives going etc. its just a matter of copying things over. To install XP though is another matter - you'd need to set up the new drive as Master etc., and it may be a better idea to watch someone else do it first if you've never done anything like that before.
