2003-05-13 11:48:00 | If I go from here to O/E my connection will break. In internet properties and connections I switch on always dial up and it switches to never dial up,could someone tell me what to do,please. | Thomas (1820) | |
2003-05-13 12:03:00 | Hi Thomas, It could be just as simple as putting a dot in the always dial up & then clicking 'Apply', rather than 'OK'. Pauline.

Do a complete inventory of anything that is internet related or which may require a connection and disable all. Also download AdAware. and run it over your system - see if there is any spyware that may be wanting to dial home. |

2003-05-13 19:44:00 | Hey Outlook Express > Tools > Options Put a tick in "Ask before Switching Dialup Connections" Click OK Also, go into the Control Panel and click Dial-up Networking in "Windows9x/ME" or "Network Connections" in WinXP Right-Click on your internet connection and click "Make Default Connection" or something along the lines of that See if that fixes it CyberChuck

2003-05-13 22:37:00 | What does it mean when one goes to Internet Properties then connections, only to find it greyed out? | Thomas (1820) | |
2003-05-13 23:43:00 | Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but I always understood that OK and Apply both applied any changes, with the difference being that OK closes the window, while Apply leaves the window open for further changes to be made. Cheers Miami

2003-05-14 07:08:00 | Sorry about Jim,I understood that the term was used when the place one ticked was the same colour as the rest of the box and will not accept ticks,if you know what I mean. | Thomas (1820) | |
2003-05-14 08:58:00 | Does the connection "breal" before or after the mail send/receive has completed. If it is after, go Tools --> Option --> Connection and untick Hang Up after Sending and Receiving.
