143781 2003-05-13 10:04:00 Okay.. there's two more things Ive come up with, and I should be a happy chappy :-)

Show Desktop.. In doze I just have to hit Win+D and I get the Desktop, or I can click on the file that's in my Quick Launch bar... How do I do that with RedHat 8 in Gnome (If its possible)

Next is an Email app for hotmail, Im going to assume there's none due to the fact that Hotmail is Web-Based and so only Outlook Express will really work with it.
If there is a way to get Hotmail into an Email Client - How do I do it?

Oh yeah - Who uses MSN in Linux? Im stumped?

Thanks to everybody for all your help with my latest Linux questions, especially bmason, your helps is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

KDE has had one for ages. I know gnome now has one, but I think its only in the latest releases. Its a normal gnome applet so have a look in the applets menu (right click on a panel). Otherwise

Yep (just_another_sheep@hotmail... :-)).

I'm currently using kmess (included with kde 3.1). Its simple and it works.

I've also used gaim. Its interface isn't as nice but it does a bit more (TIP: to use msn, goto plugins and load the msn one).

No problem. I've currently got plenty of spare time while waiting on a brute force algorithm to check the answers from a more efficient but experimental algorithm. The speed of my new athlon is no longer impressive :-(.

GAIM (http://gaim.sf.net) - Try and get the gtk2 version if you can - much better :)
