| 144072 | 2003-05-14 10:32:00 | There are occasions when I want to print out a thread which has answers to a problem or a worthwhile hint (very often!). However this produces a bloated printout with all top and side adverts, sometimes taking three pages for what would fit on one page. Would it difficult for your people to have something at the bottom to produce a printable version of the thread only? See the NZ Herald website for what I am on about. |

| 144074 | 2003-05-14 10:48:00 | Try this. 1. Use the mouse to highlight/select the text you want to print - the sentence, paragraph or whatever. 2. Click the File menu and select "Print", or alternatively press CTRL-P, so that the "Print" dialog box appears. 3. In the dialog box, there are three radio buttons in a section called "Page Range". One of these radio buttons is called "Selection", and will only be selectable if you have a section of text highlighted before you open the dialog box. 4. Select this radio button, and hit Print. IE will then only print the highlighted text. |
