| 143835 | 2003-05-13 21:02:00 | Hi, I have noticed over the last 2-3 weeks that every time I am online the Automatic Live Update is doing its thing, or else I am told that My virus defs. are out of date. I did read somewhere that the live update is done every 3 hours. Anyone else having this happen too? I also checked up on Fizzer that Pollly posted about but nothing on the Symantec site yet. Off to do an online scan now. Pauline. |

| 143836 | 2003-05-13 21:44:00 | Mine is set to automatic so I am assuming that when I am online it is constantly requesting info on latest virus def, the exact hours between requests I have no idea. As I am always connected (via adsl) I know that I am always protected and this is confirmed as Kiwitas' posts about NAV updates are always after I have just had one which is my benchmark. I went to symantec site and the suggestion for any live update issues was to obtain lrsetup. (service1.symantec.com P&stg=3&base=http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/nav/&next=nav_2002_search_solve_lu.html&sone=nav_2002_tasks.html) Good Luck sam m |
