144408 2003-05-15 07:02:00 I have a problem with my Win XP system. Pc will start up ok but the darn thing locks up within 0-1 minute of logging into my account. Have tried safe mode but same thing happens. Even if it is a PC Company comp it shouln't be doing this i have not installed any new programmes for long time and its only a year old. What to do? Any sugestion appreciated.

because one or two have been causing some problems with some pc.

You don't give enough information for me to even attempt coming up with a solution.

1. What Motherboard have you?

2. CPU?

3.RAM?

4. What are you doing when it locks?

5. Any error messages?

144412 2003-05-15 10:21:00 Stu, you mentioned some microsoft updates have caused freezes in xp... when I recently did some updates I have had the odd freeze... sometimes pc just slow to do things...is there a easy fix... or even a difficult one..?? Crozzy (3794)
