144339 2003-05-15 05:14:00 I have a software problem regarding my keyboard characters which is not peculiar to my keyboard itsself. I am running Windows XP home edition.

When I hit the (@) key I get the (") key.
When I hit the (#) key I get the (£) key.

along with a couple of others that are not co-ordinated with the keyboard.

I cant find a remedy for this in my keyboard setting, does anyone have any answers.

Go into Control Panel and under Classic View, open the Keyboard Properties
Click on the Hardware tab
There should be Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural Keyboard

What sort of keyboard is it? USB/PS2? Does it have a brand?

144341 2003-05-15 05:37:00 I'm picking that you have the Keyboard set as "UK" instead of "US". The XP experts will tell you how to get to the "Installed Services" page and fix this. Graham L (2)
