That is all I need to hear. Tickets will be purchased shortly. B-)

144456 2003-05-16 06:50:00 Agent,
these people are supposed to be inside a computer-generated world, so of course agent Smiths are going to sometimes look like computer--generated characters - cos that's what they are!
I haven't seen it yet - I'm going tomorrow, so I'll post a review after that.
Regards,

144457 2003-05-16 18:15:00 Well, I watched it at 11:30pm Friday. I thought it was pretty average really. There was some very nice special effects at times and good action sequences but nothing that really made you go "woah!" like in the first movie.

Some of the fight scenes didn't have the music to go with it. It just didn't seem right. A little more pumped up music would have been better.

Plot was very weak in my opinion. Often breaks off into philosophical discussion (to explain away the plot flaws that were in the first movie most likely). You really want to watch this not late at night!!

Be warned, don't take your kids to see this movie either. They managed to splice in a full 5min+ sex scene of neo+trinity with cuts of stupid zion natives dancing to a crap beat in the background with see-through tops. I mean what the hell!! Are we here to watch the matrix or a porno movie? They absolutely ruined it with that part and it was completely unnecessary. I don't know why they thought it was so damned necessary to have it in there but it certainly screwed the movie.

The remainder of the film was ok with a few twists but mostly predictable. If you watched that trailer they released, well you basically see the whole film there...

If youre going to see it, wait until the credits finish, apprently there is a trailer for the next movie afterwards. I didn't wait -didn't know about it till now when I was reading a website! doh!

144459 2003-05-17 05:16:00 Ho Hum!
Well, I saw it this morning and I'd go along 100% with PoWa. It's pretty average, unfinished, has totally unnecessary porn, and the fights get a bit same-ish after the first few. I'll have to go to the next one just to see what happens though. Why can't these multi-movies be complete episodes instead of having a "Cliff-hanger" ending?
Best part - the trailer for Terminator 3. Arnie's looking a bit old on it but roll on the gratuitous violence (and a female terminator).
andy

PS - Now you tell me about the new trailer! Who ever waits around till the end of the credits?

144460 2003-05-17 05:20:00 Lol Thanks andy. At least sum1 supports my views on it :D PoWa (203)
144461 2003-05-17 08:40:00 I saw it and was really dissapointed. Big on special effects and quite a mindless story line.

"Special effects don't make a great movie."

BALDY:-)

p/s: Perhaps if I had seen the first one.............

144462 2003-05-17 13:51:00 Anyone else seen it? Post your views!! PoWa (203)
144463 2003-05-17 14:17:00 I saw it today....gotta say...even on 4 hours sleep, it was great... There were slow parts (what movie dosn't?) but I think the ending / twist was the best part. Exercised the cerebral a little....
Remerbring that this is the second movie of a trilogy which historically is not the best of the three, but I think Reloaded held it's end up as a prelude to the finale....
It does seem wierd that the commercial for the Matrix Reloaded game makes a note that the game is R15, but the movie isn't?

That would be because most games with a medium level of violence (shooting guns, etc) are classified M15.

And those stupid fools think that violent computer games make violent kids? Pffft, no.
