| 144858 | 2003-05-16 14:36:00 | I have a 2-computer network. I have a problem with the other computer downloading loads of stuff. I want to restrict the bandwidth to the 2nd computer. Is there any way of doing this? Thanks in advance, James |

| 144860 | 2003-05-16 15:33:00 | Well,id tell whoever is on the other puter to cut it out. Unless your not the one payin the bill in which case you prolly shouldn't be trying to claim the bandwidth anyway. Im proud of that statement, hell of a conclusion i just jumped to. Anyway,if its kazaa they are using, just go tweak with the options and turn the amout of avaliable bandwidth it uses down. Can also be done in most download manegers. And i was lookin at some software the other day that allocated bandwidth around the network, cant for the life of me put a name to it though............. |

| 144862 | 2003-05-17 10:50:00 | The software i was looking at was Internet cafe software,i found a heap of em thru google. Entering Bandwidth into the search at www.download.com also bought up a number of potential solutions. |

| 144865 | 2003-05-18 04:28:00 | Didn't find anything?! :O Where did you look? Bandwidth Controller 0.04 (download.com.com). Here (download.com.com) is the search I did. Here's a user review: Finally! Ok lets say you have a little brother like mine and hes on kazaa ALL THE TIME! You have broadband and he likes it.. but your computer is the server.. and hes running your bandwidth all over.. how do you fix it? Download this! You can choose how fast YOU want him to go! i put it around 11,000 bytes a second not so fast that hes using too much but not too slow that he comes running asking what happend.. So if your having the same problem as me DOWNLOAD THIS!!!:) |
