I had the privalige today of trying to activate WinXP using a cell phone. What a complete pain in the ass. You've got 6 lots of 6 digits to enter while also trying to listen to what is being said. If you timeout you have to start again and if you accidently enter the wrong number you have to start again. After four tries I gave up. MS have not learnt that it is far better to have an actual person on the end of the line. It cost them 4 cell phone calls for nothing in the end. Ok they probably don't pay 70cents per call but it is still a cost. |
