If we are at the PF1 site we are there for help and understanding not to be told what naughty little boys and girls we are? Personal feelings should not get in the way of the actual help people may need or want. And to be picky on how someone actually may write (or type) something is a bit over the top. Usually when we ask for help we may be stressed and not thinking that well to proof read something anyway. And i am not trying to start a flame war here but feelings do get hurt and easily by words, which have been typed without the forethought of who or what harm has been done. Just try not to take it all so personally... the original post was to correct you on the blatantly incorrect use of a word, specifying a number instead of a directive, which I have seen you do on several occasions. Take it as a learning experience instead of a flame... and as you may have noticed I am now doing this for sport... enjoy. |

As long as we all know what the person means, who gives a rats ass Whilst I agree that Stu has had quite enough of a beating this week I also agree with Jim that if someone does not tell him what he is doing wrong then he will not have the opportunity to correct himself. Consistently bad spelling really gets my goat (with one exception) but I try and turn a blind eye to it here as people come here for help with their computer problems, not English lessons. Stu however, has previously asked for opinions and guidance with his website and in this regard I think Jim was being kind in pointing out Stu's errors. If Stu wants to be successful at making websites it would help if his spelling and grammar was better. It will be on public display, after all. |
