144750 2003-05-16 08:18:00 Is it possible to have Office 2000 and Office 2002(XP) loaded onto my PC? I use 2002 mostly, but would like to be able to test things out in 2000 from time to time. Can I do this? pbaker (2674)
144751 2003-05-16 08:28:00 Microsoft say:

Microsoft recommends you remove any previous version of Office that is on your computer .

While you can choose to keep a previous version of Office installed, you cannot have two versions of Outlook on your computer .

If you choose to install Outlook 2002, any previous version will automatically be removed .

You can have multiple versions of the other Office programs installed on your computer .

If you remove a previous version of Office, but want the option to use that version later, you must have the installation source for that version available (for example, your original Office installation CDs) .

144752 2003-05-17 05:10:00 Godfather, would you remember where you found that information?

I am thinking about uninstalling Office XP, installing Office 97 then reinstalling Office XP to another directory so that I can run the old Office 97 Clipart Gallery . I am rather annoyed that Office XP does not support the old Gallery and this appears to be the only way around it .

144753 2003-05-17 05:24:00 I have both O2k and Oxp running on my pc. Admittedly, I installed Xp as an upgrade and took the "leave previous version intact" option when I installed, but they both work fine. The reason for both is that I use XP at work, whereas my wife uses 2k at her work, so its easier to have both versions at home. They are both running on WinXP and when SWMBO logs on, her default is for the 2k version. My logon gives me the XP version.
