| 145313 | 2003-05-18 00:05:00 | when i connect to the internet it interferres with music being played on my computer, but only for a short period of time. it happens around the time that the internet port is opened. also when i receive a phone call the ringing is played through my computer's speakers. im sure neither of these things are mean't to happen. anyone know how i can stop this? thanks. |

| 145314 | 2003-05-18 00:26:00 | The first problem with the internet connection can't be fixed. It is caused by the modem your using being "soft" which means it uses its CPU for its instructions and when you initiate a connect it always takes the cpu out for a second. the only way to fix it is to get a "hard" modem, for example an external one. With your phone ringing through your computer well i'm not to sure about there will be a setting to turn this off but i obviously don't have the same modem so i don't know. |
