1338254 2013-04-24 04:36:00 I'll be honest. I don't know enough about PCs to be able to select parts or compare them with others.
All help would be appreciated and I could probably slightly go over budget.

Cheers

1338258 2013-04-24 08:37:00 As gaming PC's go that's a bit weak, CPU is ok but not that great and the graphics is low to mid-range at best
Picking parts from their website I came up with;

Combo: Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance LP 2x4GB DDR3-1600 CL9
Combo: Motherboard CPU Memory Combo Pre-Install
Western Digital Caviar Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 64MB Cache SATA3 $99.00
Antec Three Hundred Case $109.00
Antec High Current HCG-520M 520W Modular Gamer Power Supply 80PLUS Bronze $129.00
Liteon iHES312 12X Blu-Ray Combo $99.00
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit (Full Version) - OEM $159.00
ASUS HD7870-DC2-2GD5-V2 Radeon HD7870 Direct CU II 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E3.0 $399.00
Includes savings of $89.88
Reward Points 150
TOTAL inc GST $1,556.44

Which would be much better in my opinion, computerlounge will quote to build it or something similar for you to your specification if you contact them. You could shave $50 if you don't want blu-ray and a little more if you ditched the pre-check and built it yourself but this is the sort of machine I'd look at if it was me. If you want to spend more spend it on the graphics card, a GTX670 would be awesome but would add another $200-$300. Of course it all depends if you need a monitor etc and what resolution you want to play and and what games - PC gaming is a lot more involved than what our console playing friends do.

1338259 2013-04-24 14:54:00 I currently don't have a monitor, keyboard or mouse but they can be added to the budget separately.
cheers for that build by the way.
