1312723 2012-11-15 17:22:00 Took an eighteen month old laptop back to Noel Leemimg and had already identified it had a motherboard issue that was common to the model before I got there.

I expected a fight for Consumer Guarantees Act repair, but fresh of a win over Vodafone on a phone repair I went in prepared for them to fob me off and to take them to task if necessary.

Well they took the laptop, wrote down what the fault was and just over a week later had it back to me repaired, no fuss at all.

I have to admit I thought Noel Leeming were some of the worst offenders in the "you didn't buy our extended warranty so get stuffed" camp, but pleasantly surprised that the got on with it and provided some good customer service.

1312724 2012-11-15 18:10:00 Took a modem back to DSE that had failed after 22 months which only had a 12 months warranty. Got it replaced with a new one under the CGA.

1312726 2012-11-15 19:48:00 Must try my hand at the CGA some time. Usually it's petty things that are better off upgrading than fighting tit for tat over a CGA... although WD and Aixiz Lasers have been my BEST customer service experiences. Both replaced faulty goods willingly well out of the required time frames. The Error Guy (14052)
